Example of the focus and grounds of a request for administrative review
Which task, tasks or other part of the assessment does the request concern?
I am requesting an administrative review of Task 3 in the Biology test, for which I was awarded a total of three points.
How should the assessment be revised?
Based on the content of my answer, I should be awarded at least five points for this task.
Grounds for requesting a review
According to the features of a good answer, five points are awarded for discussing water and nutrient uptake, and four points for discussing photosynthesis and the formation of sugars. In my answer, I described the evaporation of water, the transport of nutrients into the plant with water, and I also wrote in detail about photosynthesis, including the light-dependent and light-independent reactions and the formation of glucose. On this basis, I should clearly have been awarded at least five points.
A request for administrative review must also include:
- the candidate’s personal identity code
- the subject or the test to which the request for administrative review relates
- the postal or email address to which notification of the decision should be sent
- the bank account number to which the fee may, if necessary, be refunded
