What are the examination fees, and how are they paid?
You must pay the examination fees for the tests you take (€41 per test) to your general upper secondary school to participate in the Matriculation Examination and qualify for the Matriculation Examination Certificate. Please follow your school’s instructions for paying the examination fees. See the fees on the Examination Fees page.
In special cases, fees paid for individual tests may be refunded upon request, for example if an enrolled candidate does not meet the eligibility requirements for participation or if their enrolment is cancelled. A request for a refund must be submitted to the Matriculation Examination Board no later than the end of the year in which the examination took place. Read the instructions for requesting a refund on the Examination Fees page.
